China ACM Special Interest Group on Hypertext, Hypermedia and Web supports the multi-disciplinary field of hypermedia and other network-based approaches to modeling knowledge, including the World Wide Web in China.

China ACM SIGWEB sponsors international conferences, workshops and symposia, with attendance ranging tens of thousands. These events enable individual technical communities to share expertise and facilitate the face‐to‐face interactions critical to the dissemination of novel and competing ideas. The international conferences of ICAIS and TURC-AIS  have become premier global events, and provide opportunities for the promotion, dissemination, and exchange of ideas concerning research and application among scientists, practitioners, and users, with an emphasis on the development of methodologies and standards and the promotion of consensus within the field.
